Viral Video: Mother Giraffe Chases Hyena Away To Protect Her Calf https://ift.tt/pemtcSj An old proverb states that a mother will do anything for her child and a newly popular wildlife video has once again demonstrated this. A mother giraffe's strong protective instinct is on display in the video. A giraffe standing with its baby is visible in the video. She makes every effort to keep the calf safe. So when the hyena attempts to approach she shoos it away. The mother giraffe's aggressive move startled the carnivore who bolted away right away. Swiss Teachers Concerned Over 11-Year-Old Children Wearing Diaper To School https://ift.tt/pA8DZ2a School teachers in Switzerland are facing an unexpected problem which made them sound the alarm that it is growing on and on. The Swiss school teachers have complained that there are more and more children in schools who are still wearing diapers. "Kids are going to school as early as 4 years old now so yeah you might actually find some still in diapers" Dagmar Rosler head of the Swiss Federation of Teachers told the Swiss newspaper 20 Minuten. "When 11-year-olds come to school in diapers that's a worrying trend." However the age at which children start school is not the main reason; more and more older students are also dependent on diapers and not for health reasons. The news outlet further reported that experts believe it is important to distinguish whether it is a developmental psychological disorder or whether the person affected has never learned it. "In any case teachers must be sensitive to the topic and be discreet" said Rosler. Under no circumstances should the child be put down: "Even if there are no health problems it is absolutely necessary to talk to the parents in order to tackle the problem and hold them accountable." Psychotherapist Felix Hof also finds it very important that the topic be addressed and that the parents are made aware of it. There are various reasons why children of primary school age still have to wear diapers: "If it is not due to a physical impairment such behaviour can indicate neglect or an extremely stressed family situation." https://ift.tt/Asn2jBH June 15 2023 at 11:04PM NDTV News-Offbeat https://www.ndtv.com

Teacher Shares Heartfelt Message Sent By Ex-Student, Internet Reacts https://ift.tt/gYo5Uui A teacher has a very crucial impact on students' lives. They inspire the students to become a better version of themselves. No matter how old we get, we always think back on the teachers who gave us hope. One such instance was shared by a UK teacher on Twitter and the internet can't get over it. Mark Dent, Executive Headteacher of Cambrai Primary School took to the microblogging site to share a conversation he had recently had with one of his ex-students who connected with him after several years. The former student wanted to express his gratitude to the teacher for something he said to him 20 years ago. He shared a screenshot of a message that reads, “About 20 years ago you told me at a parents evening I should do something in science as I clearly love it. Graduated marine biology and just got a job offer today for microbiologist technologist at GSK. You are the first person to find out as you're the first person I thought of weirdly. It's really stuck with me all those years and I'd just like to say thank you, you were right. Have a good day mate.” Today I was tracked down by an ex-pupil and received this message. Watch: The Special Mother-Son Reunion Makes Internet Emotional https://ift.tt/97NJdok Sons share a very special bond with their mother. They share a deep relationship and nothing comes close to it. Mothers are the first people sons rely on for any help and rescue. A sweet video of a Kerala man meeting his mother after a gap of five years is making rounds on the internet. The video was shared by the Official Humans of Kerala on Instagram. Rojan Parambil, a native of Kerala who had spent five years in Switzerland, was distressed to see his mother's deteriorating health upon his return to India. In the video, Mr Parambil carries his mother to the car to take her out to show her around Athirumpuzha, which also happens to be her hometown. Another woman is seen offering her a cup of tea which she sips happily. The mother-son duo also clicks a selfie and enjoys the time together. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Humans of Kerala (@officialhumansofkeralam) "Years ago, I had taken Ammachi to Switzerland and showed her around Europe. She was delighted to see the new places. But I could only go to India almost 5 years after that because of Covid. It broke my heart to see Ammachi. She looked much older - more white hair than ever -and weaker. She couldn't stand or walk properly. She told me that she hadn't even gone to church for years! I decided to take her out," the page wrote alongside the video, on behalf of Mr Parambil. "I work at an old age home in Switzerland. So, with that experience, I gave her a bath, got my sisters to get her dressed, and decided to take her in my car. Everyone said it was not the best idea. I went ahead anyway! I lifted her up on my shoulders and made her sit in the car and off we went around 20 km away to her hometown Athirumpuzha. She couldn't remember many places, but it still made her happy. I took videos to send to my siblings living in different places around the world. They were all worried for Ammachi but still happy to see her up and about. I had also once taken her to witness the 'Neelakurinji' bloom. She was tired and sick after the journey but was elated to have finally witnessed what she had always wished for," they further stated. Since being shared, the video has amassed over 5.7 lakh views and 72,000 likes. "The mother is blessed and the son is an Angel," said a user. A second person said, "Couldn't control my tears seeing this." "I wish I could've taken my grandma on a flight before she passed away. I miss her so much, everyday. You're the best thing she could've asked for," added another user. "Mum's are irreplaceable. Every moment you have with them should be cherished. Only memories will remain later. I think it was wonderful you took her around," noted a person. https://ift.tt/8xnU7rQ June 04, 2023 at 08:26AM NDTV News-Offbeat https://www.ndtv.com
Sons share a very special bond with their mother.
"Years ago, I had taken Ammachi to Switzerland and showed her around Europe.

Bengaluru Landlord Invests $10,000 In Tenant's Startup, Internet Reacts https://ift.tt/Axi4ON7 Bengaluru is considered the Silicon Valley of India due to its rapid growth and contribution to building India's IT sector. However, consecutive layoff drives by tech companies are stumbling the job market, making the landlords jittery about taking on tenants. Employees working with tech companies find it daunting to cope with the rigid demands of the landlords. Several viral posts on social media highlighted landlords demanding tenants their LinkedIn profiles, board marks and even an IIT and IIMs degree. The behaviour of the majority of landlords exhibits their stringent criteria that tenants who graduated from a premier institute of the country could be the 'right' fit for a tenant's profile. Amidst the bizarre tenant-landlord condition in the city, many startups have found a new ray of hope after Pawan Gupta recently raised $10K from his landlord for his startup - Betterhalf. Mr Gupta posted about this on Twitter, which soon went viral. The landlord has invested $10,000 in the first marriage super app driven by AI for singles. In the WhatsApp chat, the landlord writes, "I'm investing in you, honestly." He adds, "All the best and hope you reach the greatest of heights." Responding to the landlord, Mr Gupta wrote, "Thank you, Sushil." In a follow-up message, the landlord mentioned that he has invested $10,000 in Betterhalf's startup. The caption reads, "In a tough business landscape, I found an unexpected investor in my landlord. He recently invested $10K in my startup @betterhalfai. Truly amazed by the entrepreneurial spirit everyone in Bangalore shows. Silicon Valley of India for a reason. #peakbengalurumoment." Meanwhile, another peak Bengaluru moment went viral recently. Sharing house hunting experience in Bengaluru, a man named Goutham shared a screenshot of a WhatsApp chat with a house owner who asked him for a LinkedIn profile and a small write-up about himself. The relatable post has created a buzz online. Goutham shared his "peak Bengaluru" moment on Twitter. ''Day 12 of house hunting Indiranagar'' he wrote and attached a screenshot of the WhatsApp chat.
