Father's Day 2024: Gift Ideas To Make Your Dad Feel Special https://ift.tt/ds6CiAR Father's Day Gift Ideas: Fathers are truly special beings. They love and protect us. They are also our mentor, guide, friend and cheerleader. To make them feel special, Father's Day is celebrated every year on the third Sunday of June. This year, the day will be celebrated on June 16. From cooking up a storm in the kitchen to watching his favourite film, there is a lot you can do on this day. In case, you have forgotten to get a gift for your dad or are looking for suggestions, we have got you covered. Here are some interesting Father's Day gift ideas to get you started: Handmade cards: These personalised cards are among the best gifts that you can offer to your father on this day. Try your hands at a poem that can warm his heart or simply write a message telling him what he means to you. Personalised T-shirt: Express your love for your father with a personalised sweatshirt for him. Just print a sweet and personal message on the shirt and gift it to her this Father's Day. Food: You can prepare a full platter with nutritious drinks and salads for your dad. Include all things he likes to eat. Further, you can also gift him sweets or surprise her with chocolates. Headphones: You can also gift him noise-cancelling headphones that will let him enjoy his favourite music or podcast without any distractions. Smart Home Device: These gadgets, which include security systems, smart speakers, and voice-activated assistants, will make your dad's life easier. Sunglasses: Sleek sunglasses are a timeless fashion accessory. Sunglasses not only protect his eyes but also up his style quotient. Whether he prefers sporty wraps, fashionable wayfarers, or vintage aviators, these never go out of fashion. Grooming kits and skincare: Although fathers have always been devoted to their carefree way of living, this Father's Day is the perfect opportunity to pamper him and his skin. Help him with skincare, introducing him to items like face masks, face serums, foaming face wash, and under-eye cream. Alternatively, you can also gift him a specialised grooming kit. Special Outing: This could be anything from tickets to his favourite play to a day trip to a nearby town he's been wanting to visit. https://ift.tt/slNa8V1 June 14, 2024 at 09:57AM NDTV News-Offbeat https://www.ndtv.com

Employee Claims Company Wants To Track Personal Phone, Internet Shocked https://ift.tt/51sxcNA These days, several employees have been sharing accounts of their professional lives on social media, including the challenges they face at their workplaces. A Reddit user recently revealed that his employer wants to track his phone, which he thinks is ''illegal''. In the 'Anti Work' subreddit, a user named @BlueSeaChief claimed that his company demanded employees to download an app which would monitor their personal phone activities. ''My employer recently changed to wanting to use a new time card app that tracks my phone. I among others am not comfortable with them tracking our phones. However, I'm certain that trying to talk it out with higher management will be met with an “if you don't like it then leave” answer. I'm about 95% sure that this is illegal. What should I do or who should I call?'', the Reddit post reads. See the post here: Company wants to track my phone. byu/BlueSeaChief inantiwork Since being shared, the post has gone viral, with many users offering their advice. Some slammed the company for trying to breach employees' privacy and called the move ''illegal.'' One user wrote, ''If they want to track when you're on or off property, then they can buy you a cheap phone that you will then keep in desk/locker. Don't let anyone convince you to put that shit on your phone.'' Another commented, ''Yeah I would tell them I don't have a smartphone if just saying no isn't an option. If they've seen it, tell them it broke and you can't afford a new one.'' A third said, ''I would say this is illegal since you have your phone with you always and at home.'' An HR professional commented, ''Absolutely do not agree to this! Unless the company will be paying for your phone service, they legally can't even require you to download an app (for things like clocking in). I'm in HR in the US and have seen companies attempt this and they can't legally force it. You would also have quite the legal case should they terminate.'' https://ift.tt/0TU1b8V June 12, 2024 at 09:51AM NDTV News-Offbeat https://www.ndtv.com
