Today, Google Doodle is celebrating the commencement of the Summer Olympic Games 2024. Paris is hosting the Summer Olympics this year from July 26 to August 11. To mark the occasion, the search giant also replaced the "Google" logo on its homepage with one that shows some animals playing summer games. Contenders representing India in Paris include javelin star Neeraj Chopra, badminton stars PV Sindhu, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty, and weightlifter Mirabai Chanu among the favourites to bring home a medal. After the opening ceremony, India's 2024 Paris Olympics starts with the Indian men's hockey team's first pool game against New Zealand on Saturday, July 27. Badminton, boxing, shooting and table tennis events also start on the same day. The event will be telecast on Sports 18 and the Viacom 18 network. A probable cause affidavit submitted to St Louis Circuit Court states that the incident happened on July 16. Carter reportedly returned to the restaurant, complaining about a missing chicken strip from her order. In response, the manager, whose name has been redacted, replaced the missing chicken strip. The Fox news reported that despite this, Carter became irritated with the lack of ranch provided at the restaurant and spit in the store manager's face.As Carter left the Jack in the Box and went to her vehicle, the store manager utilized a different exit to capture Carter's license plate number. Carter noticed and ran up to the store manager, then proceeded to physically run into their shoulder. According to the police, Carter then said to the manager, "You're trying to get charges put on me?" Police said Carter went back to her vehicle, put her car in reverse, and backed into the store manager. The vehicle hit the manager's left foot and ankle and knocked her to the ground. The St Louis Circuit Attorney's Office has charged Talanye L. Carter with second-degree assault and fourth-degree assault. The 55-year-old Alison Winterbotham claims that she had damage to her lingual nerve following the treatment in November 2020, which left her tongue in terrible pain all the time. Her work as a speech therapist has been greatly impacted by the pain, which makes it difficult for her to speak comfortably. She alleges that Dr. Arash Shahrak, the dentist, did not fully warn her of the possible hazards associated with the procedure. Dr Shahrak denies the allegations, maintaining that he provided comprehensive advice to Mrs Winterbotham before the procedure and that there was no indication she was a high-risk patient. The case is currently before the High Court.
