Woman Says Man Accused Her Of Wasting Water After 26 Mins Bath, Internet Angry https://ift.tt/nmgEvdB A woman's story has become viral after she said that her partner accused her of wasting water during a 26-minute shower. The woman, who claims to reside with her partner, went into great detail in a Reddit post about their disagreement. According to the original poster, she is a "female with longer thick hair" who was having a "full body shower" in which she was "washing my body, my face, conditioning my hair, shaving all of it." She claimed that her spouse had "lost their sh** over how long I'd been in the shower." She wrote, "My partner lost their sh** over how long I'd been in the shower. I am a female with longer thick hair, and I was doing what some refer to as a full body shower - washing, conditioning hair, shaving all, washing my body, my face, and then got out. My partner said they were running the sink for as long as I was in the shower and asked if I noticed how much water was wasted then. I asked how I'd be able to hear that run while I was in the shower. 'Exactly.' followed by other things." "I added the songs I listened to while in the shower to their own playlist, totaled 26 minutes," she continued on Reddit. She explained that she takes this lengthy shower once every 3-4 days. The woman added, "I don't shower every day (because I work from home), but if I do - I'm under 10 minutes with body washed and hair shampooed for a regular wash." Since being shared, her post has amassed over 10,000 reactions. "He thinks you're the AH for wasting water but he kept the water running for the entire time? Worst. Water. Policing. Ever," a user said. Another wrote, "I'm still confused as to how he thought that proved his point." "NO bc if I'm shaving and washing everything my hubby EXPECTS me to be in there for at least 45 minutes. I just asked him and he said "45 to an hour" bc my normal showers of just washing my hair and body take 15-30 minutes," another added. A person remarked, "Exactly. A shower on a non-hair washing day is about 10-15 minutes for me. Washing body and hair? 25-30 minutes. 45 minutes or so for everything + shaving. He's out of his mind." "I'm a dude with long curly thick hair, don't shave anything, and can still crank out a 30 minute shower just focused on hair care! Man's an idiot," said a person. A Reddit user said, "Your partner intentionally wasted water to 'teach you a lesson', This is one scary logic, and two if you don't pay the water bill really really dumb. If you do pay the water bill, I'd ask them to compensate you for wasting water." https://ift.tt/Gb0I6nF August 25, 2024 at 07:43AM NDTV News-Offbeat https://www.ndtv.com

Woman Hired As Intern Shares How She Nearly Got Scammed By A Fake Company https://ift.tt/UflZXaE Students often aim to secure internships that provide valuable industry experience and look impressive on their resumes. However, in the quest for these opportunities, they can sometimes fall victim to internship scams. This is what happened to Instagram user Bhomi, who shared her experience in a video detailing how she was scammed after applying for an internship. In the video, Bhomi explains that she found two promising internships through Internshala, a popular platform for students seeking work opportunities. She ultimately accepted a position as an influencer manager with one of the companies, where her responsibilities included managing influencers for an upcoming event hosted by the company. As she narrates in the video, Bhomi was promised a stipend of Rs 15,000, but soon realized that the work assigned to her didn't seem to justify the amount. Her suspicions grew when a senior colleague informed her that the company was requesting a registration fee, leading her to suspect a scam. Bhomi then took the initiative to search for the company's address and GST number, only to find that they didn't exist. Eventually, the company owner blocked her. In the caption accompanying her video, Bhomi wrote, "I AM THE PROBLEM. A few things to note: Internshala is in no way responsible; they tried to help me a lot when the owner was unresponsive. I trusted the company because an MoU was signed, but they still failed to provide the promised stipend and ignored all warnings. The manager mentioned in the video was also an intern, equally confused and kept in the dark like me. The company has since been blacklisted on Internshala and can no longer post any opportunities. Stay safe and alert (unlike me)." Woman Hired As Intern Shares How She Nearly Got Scammed By A Fake Company https://ift.tt/UflZXaE

Students often aim to secure internships that provide valuable industry experience and look impressive on their resumes.

Cars, Pedestrians Covered In Faeces After Sewage Pipes Burst In China https://ift.tt/0AyOwZ5 A newly installed sewage pipeline burst during a pressure test at a road construction site in China. A stomach-churning footage has surfaced on the internet which captured the moment human sewage erupted on a busy road drenching cars, pedestrians, and bikers in human waste.  Footage captures a fountain of faeces erupting 10 meters (33 feet) into the air before showering down on unsuspecting commuters. This shocking incident occurred when newly installed sewage pipes in Nanning, a city in southern China, unexpectedly burst. Within moments, those in the area were drenched in the disgusting brown waste. Dash-cam footage reveals one car's windshield entirely covered as the wipers struggle futilely to clear it. "I'm drenched in poo," one driver reportedly complained. "My car is splattered yellow. It's ruined." No one was injured in the explosion, the New York Post reported. Local media reported that the explosion likely occurred when construction workers attempted a pressure test on the newly laid pipes, authorities said. Local authorities reported that the aftermath of the "poo-cano" was promptly addressed, and various measures to prevent future sewage explosions are currently under investigation. https://ift.tt/ZantuA8 September 28, 2024 at 10:33AM NDTV News-Offbeat https://www.ndtv.com
